Undergraduate Students Part-Time Undergraduate Student Application Form

Part-Time Undergraduate Student

  • One Vacancy (1-year term, July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025)

FIVE (5) members from the Part-Time Undergraduate Student body must send an email from their McMaster email account to the Nominee with the statement below. The Nominee must attach a PDF copy of the nomination emails to their completed nomination form in order for their nomination to be accepted.

Applicants shall also include names of TWO (2) references and their contact information.

“I nominate <NOMINEE NAME> as a candidate for the Student Representative to the University Student Fees Committee. I understand that the School of Graduate Studies may contact me to verify this nomination.

Graduate Student Graduate Student Application Form

APPLICATION SUBMISSIONS

All applications must be received by 4:00 p.m. on Monday, February 26, 2024.

SELECTION PROCESS

Student applications will be reviewed by a panel selected from the University Student Fees Committee. In reaching their decisions, the panel will consider the applicant’s resume, the statement of interest, and any references.

Successful applicants will be notified by the University Secretariat by March 31, 2024.

Definitions of Eligible Applicants and Nominators

“‘Graduate Student means a person who is a candidate for an advanced degree authorized by the Senate of the University or from a college affiliated with the University and shall include Divinity College students, and Post Degree students;” (Board of Governors By-law No. 1, 1. (i))

“‘Undergraduate Student‘ means a person who is registered as a candidate for an undergraduate degree in a course of study approved by the Senate and shall include Medical students and Continuing students;” (Board of Governors By-law No. 1, 1. (r))

About the University Student Fees Committee

The University Student Fees Committee meets monthly in closed session. If a student representative does not attend three consecutive meetings without prior notice or legitimate reasons, his/her membership will be expired. If/when a student representative vacancy arises, a call for application will be posted to fill the vacancy for the balance of the term.

2024-2025 University Student Fees Committee Meeting Dates

Meetings of the University Student Fees Committee are typically held the first Tuesday of every month at 10:30 a.m., commencing September 6, 2024, unless otherwise stated.
